Z.R. Ismagilov performed substantial contribution to various areas of catalysis science and coal chemistry: mechanisms of catalytic oxidation reactions; fundamental bases and technology of catalytic fluidized-bed combustion of fuels, catalytic heat generators; theoretical bases and technology for catalyst supports; synthesis of zeolite catalysts; catalysts containing depleted uranium compounds; development of catalysts for converters of vehicle exhaust gases; catalytic valorization of methane, dehydroaromatization, partial oxidation and catalytic coupling; oxidative desulfurization; Nanostructure carbon materials: synthesis and application.
