个人简介:
Dr. Mohamed Abbas earned his Ph.D. in Emerging Materials Science from DGIST (Daegu Gyeongbuk Institute of Science and Technology), South Korea, in February 2016. Throughout his academic journey, Dr. Abbas has worked at several prestigious institutions worldwide, including the University of Connecticut (Institute of Materials Science, USA), Tohoku University (Department of Electrical Engineering, Japan), Chungnam National University (Center for NanoBioEngineering and Spintronics, South Korea), the University of Toulouse (Laboratoire de Chimie de Coordination, France), Institute of Coal Chemistry (Chinese Academy of Sciences, China), Korea Institute of Science and Technology (KIST, South Korea), Jagiellonian University (Faculty of Chemistry, Poland), and the National University of Singapore (Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering, Singapore). Currently, Dr. Abbas serves as a Professor at the North Alabama International College of Engineering and Technology (a Joint China-USA Programme College at Guizhou University).
Dr. Abbas has been the recipient of several prestigious fellowships, including the PIFI Fellowship from the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), the Korea Research Fellowship (KRF), and the Ulam Fellowship from the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA). His research interests lie in the sonochemical synthesis of heterogeneous catalysts for applications in hydrogenation reactions, including CO, oxalate, ester, and nitro-compound hydrogenation, as well as methane (CH₄) cracking for hydrogen (H₂) and carbon nanotube (CNT) production. His scientific contributions include approximately 55 publications in high-impact journals such as Chemical Engineering Journal, Applied Catalysis B, Ultrasonics Sonochemistry, Journal of Materials Chemistry A, Fuel Processing Technology, International Journal of Hydrogen Energy, Catalysis Science & Technology, Dalton Transactions, etc.
